Alexander Shumilin: development of youth innovative entrepreneurship is one of the key tasks of the state

Today, one of the key tasks of the state is the development of youth innovative entrepreneurship. About this October 25, 2016 Alexander Shumilin, Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology of the Republic of Bashkortostan, announced at the plenary session of the V Forum of Universities of Engineering and Technology Profile of the Union State. According to him, science and technology parks are being created for this, which are a form of integration of education, science, production and contribute to the development of science-intensive technologies and science-intensive organizations.

He also said that the main areas of activity of the residents of technoparks are: instrumentation, mechanical engineering, electronics, information technology, software development, medicine, pharmaceuticals, production of medical equipment, research and development work, optics, laser technologies, energy, energy conservation, bio- and nanotechnology. “But, after receiving initial resources and creating a prototype, further, larger-scale financing of an innovative project is needed, and here we need venture capital. Therefore, we are interested in the experience of venture financing in Russia and today an agreement has already been reached on the creation of a Belarusian-Russian venture fund, ”said the Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology.

It should be noted that the State Committee for Science and Technology has been holding the Republican competition of innovative projects since 2010. The competition is given the functions of, in fact, the main republican competition for the identification and promotion of young, talented, promising scientists and specialists. An additional stage has been introduced that allows attracting the winners of other republican youth competitions (“100 ideas for Belarus”, etc.). The opportunity was realized within the framework of the competition for the further commercialization of the best innovative projects by obtaining a certificate.

“Investment in intellectual resources, in our own unique technologies, is increasingly becoming not so much a matter of prestige as a question of the possibility of maintaining economic independence and long-term development. At the same time, the human potential of our states, with proper financial support, allows not only to create competitive technologies, but also to successfully profit from their use, “said Alexander Shumilin.
