Belarus and Australia plan to conclude an agreement on scientific and technical cooperation

Belarus and Australia plan to consider the possibility of signing an intergovernmental agreement on scientific and technical cooperation. This was discussed on October 17 at the meeting of the Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Shumilin with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Australian Union to the Russian Federation (in the Republic of Belarus concurrently) Peter Tesch. Among the promising areas of bilateral cooperation of mutual interest: medicine, the agro-industrial complex, the mining sector, mechanical engineering, space and information and communication technologies, unmanned aerial systems, as well as technologies and means of extinguishing forest fires.
