Optimization of species and age structure of forests

Purpose: optimization of the species and age structure of forests of forestry institutions to increase forest productivity, the size of forest use and forestry income

Brief description: electronic soil maps, optimal species and age structure of forests, programs for the transition of forestry to an optimal structure of forests

Advantages: products comply with world standards, competitive and environmentally friendly

Development stage: pilot production work was carried out in the forestry enterprises of the republic to develop new products

Technical and economic results of implementation: increasing the economic potential of forest resources of forestry enterprises by 10-20%, improving the species structure of forests (the share of coniferous and hard-leaved forests – 80% of the forest-covered area), leveling the age structure of forests (15% of mature stands), improving the qualitative composition of the cutting background and timber market (80% of coniferous and hardwood industrial assortments), increase in annual forestry income by 2030 from the sale of timber for 100-200 billion. RUB / year
