Synthesis of active components of pest traps of elite coniferous forest plantations

Purpose: synthesis of active components of modern high-tech insect monitoring and forest pest control

Brief description: the use of synthetic sex pheromones (attractants) for the purpose of attracting, trapping and disorienting insects is used in countries with a developed forest industry (Canada, Sweden, Poland; Denmark, Finland, Norway; Estonia) to combat various types of insects that pose a threat to forest seed plantings and forest areas

Advantages compared to analogues: the highest efficiency and selectivity. This allows you to selectively strike only a specific species, without upsetting the balance of the ecosystem by massive destruction of all insects with insecticides during the continuous treatment of infected areas

Development stage: several syntheses of active components of traps have been carried out using the example of common and red pine sawflies Diprion pini and Neodiprion sertifer to monitor and protect the forest. At the same time, modern approaches to fine chemical synthesis were used.

Technical and economic results of implementation: in the Republic of Belarus, on the territory of the Komarinsky forestry enterprise, field tests were successfully carried out

Scope: monitoring and control of the number of insects over a large area, timely forecasting of the possibility of a seasonal outbreak of reproduction. The synthesized compounds can fully replace imported analogs. The main consumers of the development results can be the forestry enterprises of the Republic of Belarus, scientific research institutions specializing in research on reproduction, forest protection, etc.

Significance for Belarus: import substitution, resource conservation
