Structures and technologies for the construction of forest roads

Scope and purpose: new technical solutions have been developed aimed at improving the structural performance of forest roads, which are designed to ensure high performance of wheeled vehicles when operating in various soil-hydrological and natural-climatic conditions

Brief characteristics and advantages: the developed structures and methods of construction of forest roads are applicable in swampy areas, places of excessive moisture and on bases of soft soils, they imply the use of flexible layers of geotextile materials, local materials and soils, can increase the bearing capacity of road structures and reduce their material consumption on average 25%

Form of intellectual property protection: patents (7656, 8708, 9162, 12156 and others) RB

Development stage: a pilot test of a number of design and technological solutions was carried out; the structures have been introduced at the enterprises of the Belesbumprom concern (Molodechnoles OJSC) and state forestry institutions (Volozhin, Smorgon, Osipovichi experimental and other forestry enterprises) of the Ministry of Forestry
