GLASS ULTRA LIGHTWEIGHT FILLERS FOR COMPOSITE MATERIALS

Description of the project: Hollow glass microspheres are used as an ultra-lightweight filler in the production of varnishes and paints in the construction industry in the production of composite materials based on polymers, which significantly improve their thermal and physical characteristics.

Hollow glass microspheres with a diameter of 20-150 mi
crons. Average size – 75-85
microns Wall thickness 1
-2 microns Temperature coefficient of linear expansion – (88-90) .10-7 K-
1 Bulk density – 0.16-0.20 kg / m3 Coeff
icient of thermal conductivity 0.05-0.07 W / m ∙ K

Advantages: the developed glass compositions and technology allow hollow glass fillers to be obtained with reduced energy consumption.
