PINE VARIETY "NEGORELSKAYA"

Project description and benefits:

– early and abundant seed-bearing (the first seed-bearing on a grafted forest seed plantation (LSP) with varietal clones begins at the age of 5; at the age of 12, the actual yield of hybrid seeds was 13.5 kg of seeds per hectare; the predicted yield of LSP in subsequent years is 15 kg of seeds per hectare, which is 3-5 times higher than the national average);

– the presence of aciniform seed production, which is unusual for Scots pine, as one of the signs of reproductive heterosis (in one bunch there can be from 3 to 30 pcs. cones);

– more intensive growth of varietal progeny of Scots pine in comparison with ordinary plants (according to the results of the conducted variety testing – plus 17% in height and plus 20% in diameter).

Results achieved: Completed development (certificate for variety No. 0003707)
