On August 21-25, 2017, Argentina will host the XV Congress of RedPop (an international platform for the popularization of science and technology in the region of Latin America and the Caribbean)

From August 21 to 25, 2017 at the Science Cultural Center-C3, www.ccciencia.gob.ar (Buenos Aires, Argentina), the 15th RedPop Congress, “Contacts, New Ways to Popularize Science” will be held.

The main theme of the XV Congress of RedPop will be the establishment of contacts, partnerships and the exchange of experience in the field of science and technology, along with other formats, such as holding theatrical and cultural events to popularize and explore new ways of interaction, dialogue and exchange of ideas in order to learn about reality and the world. … The program of the XV Congress includes international conferences in this area; round tables between scientists, artists and representatives of various fields of culture; presentation of works and ideas with new formats and forms; workshops to test and explore new cultural ties; representations and interpretations of scientists aimed at studying the city.

  • popularization of scientific schools;
  • science, art and technology;
  • science journalism;
  • museums, exhibitions and educational materials;
  • training in popularization methods;
  • research and evaluation.

THE TERMS OF PARTICIPATION

Participants can submit abstracts of their work in two formats: oral presentation and graphic interpretation.

Both types of work will be presented during the Congress in new formats of work within the framework of collective events, the procedure for which will be described in detail in the near future in information notices.
