Participation of BSTU representatives in the meeting of the Council of the concern "Bellesbumprom"

On October 21, a regular meeting of the Board of the Bellesbumprom Concern took place.

At the meeting, the results of the work of the organizations of the concern on the implementation in 9 months of the industry program to reduce the cost of production of goods (works, services) for 2016 were considered.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Semashko guided the concern’s enterprises towards attracting new technologies and optimizing production in order to reduce the cost of woodworking products. Vladimir Semashko noted that the reserves for reducing the cost of production and increasing the efficiency of work should be sought by enterprises, first of all, inside, not relying only on state support. The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that given the energy-intensive specifics of woodworking industries, energy conservation issues should be at the forefront. The real effect in this direction can be achieved through the introduction of new technologies. He noted that woodworking enterprises with modernized capacities need to more actively and more flexibly introduce new technological solutions. The Deputy Prime Minister drew attention to the importance of providing these industries with the required volume of raw materials. He stressed that the raw material base is the basis of everything. “It is important that the resources available in the country, and this applies to both timber and waste paper, were processed at our enterprises,” Vladimir Semashko said. – We must not allow valuable raw materials from which to obtain finished products – furniture, paper, cardboard, etc., go abroad at bargain prices, and then return to us in the form of the same products that we can produce ourselves. You need to load your capacities, provide people with jobs and get more significant economic benefits. “

Representatives of BSTU, headed by Rector Igor Voitov, took part in the work of the Council along with the heads of the concern’s organizations.

After considering the results of the work of the organizations of the concern, the issues of introducing the scientific developments of BSTU in the organizations of the concern were discussed. The head of the department Natalya Chernaya made a report and presentation of the developments of the Department of Chemical Wood Processing. During the speech, resource-saving and energy-saving technologies, import-substituting and more efficient technologies for using imported and domestic functional chemicals, proposed for use in pulp and paper enterprises, were highlighted.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of other departments of BSTU with a presentation of innovative developments for organizations of the concern “Bellesbumprom”.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted the relevance and importance of the presented developments and oriented the enterprises of the concern to the possibility of their introduction into technological processes.
