LIQUID CRYSTAL, ANISOTROPIC MATERIALS, METHODS OF THEIR PRODUCTION, DEVICES FOR DISPLAYING AND PROCESSING INFORMATION BASED ON ANISOTROPIC MEDIA

Description of the project: Based on new approaches to the synthesis of liquid crystal and anisotropic compounds, liquid crystal materials have been developed for various (nematic or ferroelectric) devices for displaying and processing information, new technologies have been proposed for obtaining anisotropic compounds and materials based on them with a wide range of practical applications.

Benefits:

The developed technologies for obtaining anisotropic materials are characterized by the following advantages in comparison with the known ones:

  • starting reagents, solvents, catalysts, etc. available and cheap;
  • synthetic schemes are shorter at 2-3 stages and allow to obtain final LC and anisotropic compounds with a higher yield;
  • technologies can be used to obtain a variety of anisotropic compounds and materials based on them with a wide range of practical applications.
