Issues of creating a Eurasian technology transfer network were discussed at the EEC Council

On March 30, members of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) approved the concept for the creation and operation of the Eurasian Technology Transfer Network.

The creation of the ESTT will form an effective innovation infrastructure in the EAEU, provide organizational support for advanced forms of cooperation between the Union states, increase the level of innovative activity of enterprises, and ensure the competitiveness of industrial products.

In accordance with the document, the ECTT will become a platform that will allow establishing business contacts and exchanging technologies. The network will include interested industrial enterprises, scientific organizations, universities, innovation and technology centers, technology transfer centers, technology parks, business incubators, as well as representatives of small businesses interested in the transfer, implementation and adaptation of existing knowledge, research results, new technologies and developments.

The ESTT will enable the EAEU industrialists not only to gain access to advanced developments, but also to consult on the issues of conducting a technology audit and applying legislation on technology transfer. When developing the concept, the best world experience in creating and developing such networks was studied. The document includes agreed principles, formats and mechanisms for interaction and functioning within the network.

The concept also includes the possibility of creating a specialized platform for searching and exchanging information, technologies and lists of high-tech equipment. It is envisaged that the ECTT will use the principle of placing technological requests and proposals.
