COMPOSITE MATERIAL BASED ON ALUMINUM-SILICON ALLOY AND NANOSTRUCTURED CARBON

Description of the project: The use of nanostructured carbon provides, along with modification and disperse hardening, an increase in operational properties. The developed composites have increased strength and antifriction properties.

Benefits:

The level of mechanical and operational properties of composites based on Al-Si-C allows them to be recommended instead of steels and titanium alloys in many industries and to reduce the costs of enterprises for the purchase of these materials.

Materials with high properties were obtained without the use of expensive fullerenes (arc fullerene-containing soot, fullerene black and multi-walled nanotubes), which makes them promising for industrial development.

Achieved results:

A pilot batch of composites based on Al-Si-C.
