Sorbents based on cellulose-containing materials for cleaning liquid media
Scope: sorbents can be used for wastewater treatment of industrial enterprises to extract ions of various metals (Fe3 +, Cr3 +, Cu2 +, Mg2 +, Co2 + and others), as well as dichromate ions in the treatment of wastewater from a number of chemical and galvanic industries
Brief essence of the development: sorbents are obtained on the basis of cellulose-containing materials (wood, cellulose, flax, fire) by treatment with phosphorylating solutions containing orthophosphoric acid and urea
Advantages: sorbents can be obtained from waste wood processing enterprises. They are characterized by low cost, ease of manufacture, renewable raw materials for their production, environmentally friendly
Form of intellectual property protection: patent 2291113 RU “Method for purifying wastewater from chromium (III) and (VI) ions”
The main technical characteristics of the development: the sorption capacity of the obtained sorbents for cations of various metals contained in strongly acidic wastes of galvanic and a number of other industries is close to the sorption capacity of industrial ion-exchange materials and is in the range of 1.8-2.6 mmol-eq / g, depending on the type of sorbed metal and the acidity of the medium. The sorption capacity for dichromate ion is 2.5-5.5 mmol-eq / g
Comparison of the development with analogues: industrial ion-exchange resins and sorbents for Fe3 +, Cr3 +, Cu2 +, Mg2 +, Co2 + and others have a sorption capacity of 2 to 3 mmol-equiv / g
Significance for the Republic of Belarus: ecologically safe, cheap, waste sorbents are easily disposed of
Economic indicators: the obtained sorbents are cheaper than synthetic zeolites and ion-exchange resins
