Competition of joint Belarusian-Lithuanian scientific and technical projects

As part of the implementation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Lithuania on cooperation in science and technology dated January 24, 2008, the State Committee for Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus (more – GKNT) and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania announce a competition for joint Belarusian-Lithuanian scientific and technical projects for 2019-2020 on the following priority areas of bilateral Belarusian-Lithuanian cooperation:

– New materials;
– Medicine, medical technology and equipment;
– Photonics and laser technologi
es; – Pharmacy and industrial biotechno
logy; – Information and communication tech
nologies; – Innovative technologies in agricult
ure; – Ecology, resource- and energy-saving technolog
ies; – Humanitarian and social research.

Applications for the competition are accepted between February 26, 2018 and April 26, 2018.

GKNT requests applications for competitive selection in accordance with the Regulation on International Scientific and Technical Projects implemented under the international treaties of the Republic of Belarus, approved by a resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus on August 13, 2003 No. 1065.(Form kit attached).

Please note that the application must include:

A well-established business plan (for projects aimed at creating and/or developing new technologies and/or types of products (works, services);

Written commitments of the state customer and/or other interested parties to the practical use of the results of research and development obtained during the project (for projects of applied nature);

Written liabilities of the state customer and/or other interested in equity participation in financing the cost of the project amounting to at least 50 per cent of the total projected funds (for projects under which development and development work is planned);

A copy of the cooperation agreement with a foreign partner organization.

At the same time, we inform that in accordance with the resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of May 22, 2015, No. 431 "On the functioning of a single system of state scientific and state scientific and technical expertise" for the conduct of the state scientific and technical examination, it is necessary to submit to the GKNT an act of departmental examination (organization-executive of the project).

The completed forms are requested to be sent to GKNT by April 26, 2018 in printed (in three copies) and electronic (on CD) views.

Please note that in accordance with the lithuanian side's demand, teams of scientists and scientific institutions of both countries, which received bilateral funding as a result of the project competition for 2015-2016 or 2017-2018, cannot take part in the competition of joint Belarusian-Lithuanian scientific and technical projects for 2019-2020.Source http://www.gknt.gov.by
