WEEK OF THE "HORIZON 2020" PROGRAM IN BELARUS – 2018 February 19 – 23, 2018, Minsk

October 27, 2017 The European Commission has approved the competition program for the final three-year phase of the EU’s Framework Program for Science and Innovation Horizon 2020 and launched the 2018 project calls. 

For this event, the State Institution “Belarusian Institute for System Analysis and Information Support of the Scientific and Technical Sphere” (GU “BelISA”) plans to hold a series of events aimed at informing those interested about the content of the program’s competitions and improving the skills of work in “Horizon 2020”. The series of events called “Week of the Horizon 2020 Program in Belarus – 2018” will be held in Minsk from 19 to 23 February 2018. with the support of the EU EaP PLUS project.

The week of the Horizon 2020 program in Belarus – 2018 will include the following events:

February 19, 2018: Training for National Contact Points of the Horizon 2020 Program (upon separate invitations)

February 20, 2018: Information Day with a focus on two sections of the program – “Leadership in Industrial Technology” (information, nano- and biotechnology, new materials, production processes, including SPIRE competitions, as well as space) and “Social Issues” (health , transport, energy, climate and natural resources, safe food, etc.).

February 21, 2018 (morning): Information day on the Maria Sklodowska-Curie program – funding the development of a scientific career and supporting the international mobility of researchers.

February 21, 2018 (14.00 – 17.00): Training “RISE, Exchange of scientific and innovative personnel”. The main idea of the training is to help applicants for RISE projects submitted for the 2014-2017 competitions, but did not receive financial support, with finalizing their applications and preparing them for resubmission in 2018. (deadline for submission is March 21, 2018). The number of participants is no more than 30 people. English language.

February 22, 2018: Training for novice scientists “My first grant” will help those who are taking their first steps in international cooperation to prepare a competent CV, travel grant application, motivation letter, etc.
