Belarus and Moldova will hold a competition of joint scientific and technical projects

The State Committee for Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus and the National Agency for Research and Development of the Republic of Moldova will hold a competition for joint scientific and technical projects for 2019 – 2020 in the following priority areas: new products and technologies, energy and energy efficiency, medicine and biomedicine, biotechnology. This decision was made today in Chisinau during the signing of an interdepartmental agreement on scientific and technical cooperation. The document was signed by the Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology Alexander Shumilin and the Director General of NAIR Viorica Boagi.

Belarus and Moldova plan to develop cooperation between scientific organizations and provide assistance to scientific teams in key areas of bilateral scientific, technical and innovative cooperation. “The signing and implementation of the agreement will allow already in 2018 to hold a competition for joint scientific and technical projects, as well as to intensify the joint participation of Belarusian and Moldovan scientists in the framework program of the European Union for science and innovation“ Horizon 2020 ”,” stressed Alexander Shumilin. He also noted that currently four projects with the participation of Belarusian and Moldovan scientific organizations are being implemented under the EU Horizon 2020 program.
