WEAR RESISTANT CERAMIC MATERIALS WITH REDUCED FRICTION COEFFICIENT

Description of the project: Wear-resistant ceramic materials are synthesized on the basis of crystalline phases of corundum, anorthite, mullite using available natural and technical raw materials.

Wear-resistant ceramic materials are recommended for fiber yarn guides, dies for drawing various melt filaments, steel and aluminum wires, friction rings, discs, etc.

Advantages: Anorthite wear-resistant self-glazing material has the following properties: relative density – not less than 95%, water absorption – not more than 2%, TLEC – (4-6) · 10-6 K-1, compressive strength – about 100 MPa, microhardness – 9000-11000 MPa, coefficient of friction 0.2-0.3.
