A PHOTOCATALYST BASED ON NANODISPERSED TITANIUM DIOXIDE LAYERS ON SILICON DIOXIDE MICROSPHERES

Description of the project: The photocatalyst is produced using titanium dioxide sol and precipitated silicon dioxide from water glass.

Specific surface area: 150–200 m2 /
g; TiO2 content – 25–30 wt% p
H of the isoelectric point 4–5.

Can be used to remove dyes (Rhodamine C) and formaldehyde from wastewater

Advantages: Cost reduction in comparison with the applied ones by 20-30%. The work efficiency is 30-50% higher.
