WOOD PANEL PRODUCTS FOR CONSTRUCTION

Description of the project: The structure of a three-layer glued building board, includes two outer layers of thin sheet material and a middle layer with end-filling of low-grade wood, instead of dried planed blocks of the same thickness. Depending on the specific purpose of the panel board, it may or may not contain a frame of bars along the perimeter of the middle layer. If necessary, the panel product can be revetted with fine wood veneer or other decorative material. Production of building products according to the principles of “green” standards using renewable raw materials.

Advantages: The main advantages of the proposed design in comparison with panels with a bar filler of the middle layer: use of cheap wood as a filler (thin round timber and sawn timber); reduction of energy consumption for obtaining (energy consumption only for transverse cutting) and for drying (the highest value of the coefficient of moisture conductivity along the fibers) of the filler; improving the quality of shields (flatness, surface waviness); reducing the dependence of the aggregate swelling on shrinkage during operation in conditions of variable humidity; the ability to manufacture building products in a wide range of thicknesses.

Results achieved: At the research stage, experimental work was carried out and a pilot batch of door panels was produced in production. The development benefits have been confirmed.
