CHAMBER AND MODES OF INFRARED DRYING OF WATER-DISPERSIVE PAINT COATINGS OF JOINT-STUDENT WOOD CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS

Description of the project: Thermo-radiation drying of paint and varnish coatings is based on the principle of heat transfer using radiant energy, the sources of which are lamp, tubular and ceramic emitters.

The main amount of infrared rays is absorbed by the wood surface-base, which as a result heats up, and the drying process goes from the lower layers of the film to the upper ones. In this case, the drying process of protective and decorative coatings is reduced by four times in comparison with classical convective drying.

Advantages: The developed modes allow drying paint and varnish coatings in a short period of time while maintaining the surface quality.

Due to faster drying of paint and varnish coatings, there is a reduction in energy costs, since the energy consumption of drying modules is relatively lower than that of similar convection chambers.

The developed drying plant has a modular design that allows it to be adjusted to any needs of the enterprise.

Results achieved: Development of documentation and a prototype.
