China International Technology Transfer Convention 2016

From 15 to 17 November 2016, China hosted the 2016 China International Technology Transfer Convention, jointly organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Beijing Municipal People’s Government. The opening ceremony was attended by Xu Jianpei, Secretary General of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Vice Mayor of Beijing Sui Zhenjiang, Israeli Ambassador to China Matan Vilnai, Nobel Prize Winner in Physics 2014 Shuji Nakamura, and CEO of BAIC Group Zhang Xiyong.

Within the framework of the theme “Openness in the field of innovations, exchange of information for greater good”, the main priorities of the congress were wide-area semiconductors, the health industry, “green” development and new generation of information technologies. During the convention, more than 20 thematic events were organized, including seminars, promotions and exhibitions, as well as a number of country forums. The conference was attended by diplomats responsible for science and technology from Chinese diplomatic missions in Los Angeles, Toronto, Germany, Russia, Italy, the Republic of Korea, Greece and Finland, heads of well-known foreign universities, scientific and technological companies and institutions, representatives of science departments and management technologies, higher education institutions, research institutes, enterprises and technology transfer agencies.
