Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia-2017

The fourth Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia, which is planned to be devoted to high technologies, will open up a powerful perspective. This opinion was expressed by the chairman of the Council of the Republic Mikhail Myasnikovich at a meeting on the preparation and holding of the event in Minsk today, BelTA has learned. It is planned that the forum will be held on June 29-30 in Moscow and will be devoted to the vectors of the integration development of the regions of Belarus and Russia in the field of innovation and information technologies. “The fourth forum, based on its agenda, is a rather powerful prospect, it is a look into the future,” Mikhail Myasnikovich noted. The topic of high technologies is especially relevant for Belarus in light of the fact that 2017 has been declared the Year of Science in the country, and innovation is one of the priorities of the program of social and economic development until 2020. The interest in participating in the Forum of Regions is traditionally high. It serves as a platform for free discussion on a wide range of issues. The participation of the Presidents of Belarus and Russia gives the event a high status. The meeting was held today at the Council of the Republic in order to develop specific proposals for holding the forum. They will be announced at the meeting of the consolidated organizing committee, which will be held on January 19 in
