Projects financed by the Republican Innovation Fund will be selected through an open competition

Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 14 of January 10, 2017 approved the regulation on the procedure for conducting an open competitive selection of projects (events) financed from the republican centralized innovation fund, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government. The regulation determines the procedure for holding an open competitive selection of projects (events) financed from the republican centralized innovation fund. According to the document, these include: implementation of research, development and experimental-technological work, ensuring the creation of new products, new (improved) technologies, new services for Belarus; development of the material and technical base of industry laboratories; financing research, development and experimental-technological work carried out within the framework of the implementation of innovative projects, work on the organization and development of the production of scientific and technical products created as a result of the implementation of innovative projects and tasks of state scientific and technical programs. Also, such activities will include the provision of state financial support for the implementation of innovative projects in the form of providing innovative vouchers and grants at the expense of funds allocated for these purposes to the Belarusian Innovation Fund. In accordance with the regulation for the consideration of materials on projects, the State Committee for Science and Technology creates an interdepartmental competitive commission, the composition of which is formed of scientists and specialists in the field of scientific, scientific, technical and innovative activities on the submissions of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, republican government bodies, and others. state organizations subordinate to the government, the apparatus of the Council of Ministers. The procedure for the work of the competition committee and the criteria for selecting projects for funding are determined by the SCST. The conclusion on the feasibility (inexpediency) of financing projects carried out within the framework of the state program, measures for the development of innovative infrastructure and measures for the development of industry laboratories at the expense of the republican centralized innovation fund is adopted at a meeting of the competition committee, which is held within ten working days from the date of receipt for its consideration of materials on projects. The SCST, on the basis of the conclusion of the competition committee, within five working days after its meeting, makes a decision on financing projects (events) at the expense of the republican centralized innovation fund and informs customers about it.
