Technical polyester thread of increased thermal stability

Application area of the development: production of polyethylene terephthalate and polyester industrial threads

Brief essence of the development: using new stabilizing systems, most suitable for use in the synthesis of polyethylene terephthalate (PET), the quality indicators and performance characteristics of polyester industrial yarn intended for the manufacture of high-strength fabrics, reinforcement of rubber products have been increased

The main advantages of the development:

– increase in the molecular weight of PET

– reduction of thread breakage during forming and drawing

– reducing the number of external defects and increasing the grade of products

– increased specific breaking load for polyester yarns;

– increasing the thermal stability of the threads

Main technical characteristics of the development:

– specific breaking load 735 mN / tex

– thermal stability 94% (preservation of the strength of the thread after heating up to 200 ° С for 2 hours)

Comparison of the development with analogues: in comparison with the serial thread, the strength of the test threads is increased by 5%, the thermal stability – by 10%.

Significance for the Republic of Belarus: thanks to improving the quality of its products, OJSC Mogilevkhimvolokno will not only be able to maintain the existing sales markets for polyester threads and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) granules, but also expand them by increasing the competitiveness of its products
