Protective glasses for lightweight multilayered structures

   Protective multilayerd glasses are designed to protect human life, ensure the safety and reliability of storage and  transportation of material values, used in vehicles, administrative, public and residential buildings.

Toughened plate glasses provide protective properties of a multilayer structure in category 5 (AKM with a steel core bullet-43, 7.62mm cartridge 57-N-323S, fire distance 5-10m) with a package thickness of 30.5 cm instead of traditional packages with a thickness of 44 cm, that is, a structural weight reduction of 30.7% is achieved without deterioration of the protective performance. This allows to save the main and auxiliary materials in the production of safe multilayerd glasses, reduce fuel consumption for special vehicles, improve range of visibility, simplify system design.

Semi-industrial approbation of protective multilayerd glass samples, manufactured according to the technical specification of the Republic of Belarus 290053265.001 under Research and Production Association AGAT, was carried out.
