As part of the implementation of the agreement between the Government of Belarus and the Government of Pakistan on cooperation in science and technology dated May 29, 2015, the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus (more – GKNT) and the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan announce an additional competition for joint Belarusian-Pakistan science and technology projects for 2017 – 2018 on the following priority areas of bilateral Belarusian-Pakistan cooperation:

  • Materials science and engineering;
  • Nanotechnology;
  • Microelectronics;
  • Agriculture and biotechnology;
  • Medicine and pharmacy;
  • Innovative science and technology policy;
  • Renewable energy technologies;
  • Information and communication technologies;
  • Standardization, testing and quality assessment;
  • Industrial chemistry and mineral exploration;
  • Functional nutrition and food safety.

Applications for the competition are accepted between March 2, 2017

GKNT requests applications for competitive selection in accordance with the Regulation on International Scientific and Technical Projects implemented under the international treaties of the Republic of Belarus, approved by a resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus on August 13, 2003 No. 1065.(Form kit attached).

Please note that the application must include:

A business plan (for projects aimed at creating and/or developing new technologies and/or types of products (works, services);

written commitments from the state customer and/or other stakeholders in the practical use of the results of research and development obtained during the project (for projects of applied nature);

written liabilities of the state customer and/or other interested in equity participation in the financing of project costs of at least 50 per cent of the total projected funds (for projects under which development and development work is planned);

a copy of the cooperation agreement with a foreign partner organization.

At the same time, we inform that in accordance with the resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of May 22, 2015, No. 431 "On the functioning of a single system of state scientific and state scientific and technical expertise" for the conduct of the state scientific and technical examination, it is necessary to submit to the GKNT an act of departmental examination (organization-executive of the project).

Filled forms with a cover letter from the project's state customer are requested to be sent to GKNT by March 31, 2017 in printed (in three copies) and electronic (on CD) views.
