TECHNOLOGY OF ELECTROCHEMICAL DEPOSITION OF FUNCTIONAL COPPER COATINGS ON CARBON STEEL
Description of the project: Copper coatings are deposited directly onto steel and cast iron without an intermediate sublayer of a complex alkaline electrolyte based on copper citrate complexes.
Advantages: No contact reduction of copper on the surface of ferrous metal products; the ability to apply coatings directly to the surface of steel and cast iron products without an intermediate sublayer; low environmental hazard; simplicity of electrolyte composition; wide range of operating current densities; high rates of deposition of coatings (up to 108 μm / hour); the resulting coatings are non-porous with a thickness of 5 microns in the range of current densities of 1.5-5 A / dm2; the resulting coatings have good adhesion to carbon steel.
Compared to ethylenediamine electrolytes, which have become widespread at the enterprises of our country, the developed electrolyte has a low environmental hazard, high deposition rates by 1.9 times, scattering power up to 72%.
