TECHNOLOGY OF INTEGRATED PROCESSING OF WASTE CRACKING CATALYST TO PRODUCE COMPOUNDS OF RARE EARTH ELEMENTS AND SORBENT
Description of the project: A technology has been developed for the complex processing of spent cracking catalyst, which is a large-tonnage waste, the annual amount of which in the Republic of Belarus reaches 3.5 thousand. tons, in the world – more than 300 thousand. t. The proposed technology includes the stages of acid leaching of the target component (lanthanum) with a solution of nitric acid, the isolation of its compounds from the obtained solutions by precipitation in the form of poorly soluble compounds, or by distillation of the nitric acid leaching solution, and treatment of the solid residue. The lanthanum-containing products obtained during processing can be used in the production of zeolite-containing cracking catalysts, ligatures, for the synthesis of lanthanum aluminate, as a raw material for the production of high-purity lanthanum compounds. The sorption material obtained by the proposed technology is an effective sorbent for metal and ammonium ions, can be used for wastewater treatment and limiting the mobility of heavy metals in wastewater sludge.
Benefits:
– the complexity of the use of waste; – the
variability of the implementation of the processing pro
cess; – a wide range of areas for the use of processed products; – the avail
ability of reagents and raw materials
; – the possibility of adapting the technology to various objects.
