We are now actively negotiating with the State Natural Science Foundation of China. We have already come close to discussing the terms of a new joint Chinese-Belarusian competition in the field of natural sciences. In addition, we are almost ready to announce a joint tender with Turkey, “said Sergei Gaponenko. There are other examples of international cooperation in this area. “Together with the Russian Foundation for Basic Research and several other funds, last year we established the Eurasian Association of Scientific Research Support Organizations. Active discussions are underway about possible joint projects. It is planned that the first joint competition will take place in 2017, “added the director of the fund’s executive directorate. The Fundamental Research Foundation was established by a government decree in 1991 in order to strengthen financial support for fundamental and exploratory research in the natural, technical and humanitarian sciences carried out by scientific organizations, higher educational institutions and individual scientists of Belarus.
