Japanese company starts developing jet fuel from algae
Experts at bioenergy company Euglena have teamed up with five more partners to build and test the first biofuel plant by 2019. If all goes as planned, then within a year Euglena is going to start supplying new fuel for cars and aircraft.
The main problem of biofuel production is the feasibility of implementing the idea. Not only airlines, but also ordinary car owners do not object at all to the use of environmentally friendly and inexpensive fuel, but it is not at all profitable to produce such fuel from an economic point of view.
Euglena needs money to accelerate research in this area, so it sells shares, looking for partners and investors along the way. Agricultural machinery manufacturer Kobashi Kogyo confirmed its participation in the project, having invested about $ 4 million in the project
